Tom Wunderle is the Director of Strategic Planning for NGRREC and Lewis and Clark Community College. He retired from IBM in 2001 after 32 years of service that included nine years as a management consultant in higher education. Tom is an experienced planner and facilitator who has worked on numerous institutional and technology planning projects with clients such as the U.S. Naval Academy, the California State University System, the SUNY system, the University of Michigan and, more recently, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences (NRES) at the University of Illinois.

Tom’s background includes more than eight years in advertising and promotion, and considerable experience in project management and process redesign. Tom’s focus as a planner for NGRREC is to help facilitate and foster greater collaboration among organizations that share a common interest in preserving and protecting our great river systems.

Tom holds a master’s of arts degree in history from Kent State University in Ohio.
