In addition to serving as associate director of the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center, Bill also acts as the Coordinator of External Relations in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences (NRES) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

For more than 20 years, Bill has served in various local, national and international leadership and executive positions. Bill has extensive experience in strategic planning, team building, program analysis and development. He also has received several awards for his leadership and professional contributions.

He holds his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Illinois.
